We’re proposing a new feature that allows users to deactivate GL account codes, removing them from use in future transactions while retaining their historical data for reporting and audit integrity. Once deactivated, a GL code will no longer appear in selection lists for journals, invoices, or other postings - reducing the risk of misclassification or accidental use of obsolete accounts. This change will help streamline data entry, improve chart of accounts governance, and support ongoing GL structure clean-up without affecting prior period reporting. Reactivation options may also be included to provide flexibility as business needs evolve.
