In HR Manager > School tab, we entered the TA settings as follows:
Teaching staff = No
Teaching Assistant = Yes
In doing so, we realized it has a major impact on Cover Manager i.e. they no longer on the free list to do cover!
Even when we granted TA permissions to do cover in Cover Manager > Manage Staff & Teachers (i.e. Cover Options – Suspend From Cover = No – then Save & Close), this new setting was changed back to default (i.e. Suspend From Cover = Yes) when we re-open the page.
In other words, when Teaching staff = No in HR Manager, you can't really update/save the staff's cover permissions in Cover Manager.
It doesn't make sense to me.
Could iSAMS please allow schools to update/save staff cover permissions in Cover Manager for non-teaching staff.
